V13.9.1 Release Notes

Version 13.9.1 contains several new features along with bug fixes and enhancements.
1. Features
The features and updates listed below are the primary enhancements within this release.

| PDF report generation allows character substitution for unsupported characters | Ensures consistent report generation by replacing unsupported characters, preventing session processing errors. |
| Discard or restore sessions from Outbox | Prevents sessions from becoming stuck in Outbox after submission errors. |
| Designer page size configuration setting | Customize the number of entries displayed per page on the Designer interface. |
| Notifications for upcoming license renewal | Administrators are alerted when the Smartforms Middleware license is approaching its expiration date. |

| Smartforms Middleware | Bugfix | Fixed bug when attempting to update a Data Source File and encountering an error. Middleware now correctly returns an error result and does not update the Data Source File's update time. |
| Smartforms Designer | Bugfix | When attempting to log in as a user without Publisher permissions, the user is now redirected back to the login screen. Previously, they could be stuck in a redirect loop if the Ideagen Home redirect is enabled. |
| Smartforms Designer | Bugfix | Fixed bug in which the Moment.js format function was causing a compiler error in the client script editor. |
| Smartforms Middleware | Bugfix | If the large dot character is included in form text (which can occur when pasting text from a Microsoft Word bullet list) it will be replaced with a regular dot character in the PDF report instead of throwing an exception due to encountering an unsupported character. |
| Smartforms Client | Bugfix | Fixed bug in which the Image Annotation field was not updating its validation status after its contents were updated through client script. |
| Smartforms Middleware | Bugfix | Installation doc - removed Unicode characters from config file sample text, allowing contents to be copied and pasted into deployed config files. |
